Hi all, can I join in too? Going to be a bit weedy at first and go for £5 a day if that's ok :) And not counting things til they're actually in the bank :)

I'm starting a new job tomorrow (hooray!) and I'm not paid til the end of June, so I've been saving up so I don't have to use my holiday money to tide me over. I'm not quite there yet, still about £85 to go, but if I could make £150 in June, that'd mean there was some extra left over!

So I'm in, and will add to my signature in a minute :):) Thanks for starting us off, I'm excited to get started! :)

Have sold another 2 items on ebay today - only totalling £11.24 profit (plus P&P) but better than them just sitting in the cupboard like they have been for the past year!
Have also listed another batch so fingers crossed!

Hi Purple, thanks for the shiny new thread :)

I'm guna be odd and awkward (not like me is it...! :D ) and make my challenge reflect my ISA balance cos I'm trying to save up for a house deposit for an investment in a property abroad as I turn 25 in just over a month and have no pension, neither does DH. It's started worrying me quite a lot so meanings as were both Local Government workers n were a bit unsure of security now the torries are in, I decided to make myself feel better by making some sort of effort in this way instead. Big step for us and a big commitment, so used to making bad financial decisions were just deperate to make a good one at last. :o

So, my ISA is currently £167.76 (only started saving 22nd May :D ) and I'm going to try and get that to £600 by the end of the month. Which makes my aim for June £432.24- but so purple doesn't virtual slap me I'll call it 450 :D

Thanks for letting me bore u again my trusty £10 a dayers :p

    sweet xx

Good luck Sweetpeas. That is a very good challenge you have set yourself. Are you sure you and OH don't have a pension scheme working for Local Government? Or did you opt out of their pension scheme?

Evening and happy new Month everyone.

Am back now, had a couple of months break and thanks to the beloved tax man catching up with my appearing on the payroll in my second job this month my salary is almost £100 less than last month....and its virtually impossible to earn that back in the second job - not impressed. Going to phone them in the morning and see if I can get my tax allowances adjusted so the second job take up so much of my untaxed income!

So I'm back in for £5 a day please.
