June Make £10 A Day Challenge ~~All Welcome~~

  • Well P1n3cone never got back to me :(

Have just booked our first (and probably last) family holiday for next year. We're going to Disneyworld at Halloween :T:T:T , got a great deal but still costing me £0000's

So.......I therefore need this challenge to earn some much needed spending money. DH and I have agreed to go through the attic with a fine toothed comb. Actually we don't need a comb, we fall over the [STRIKE]carp [/STRIKE]unwanted possessions as soon as we climb the loft ladder! Lots of Eb4ying. (I think I might have mentioned before I'm not keen). Didn't get round to it this month :o

I know I have loads of James Herbert books in the attic which have only been read once (Before DH & kids). Could anyone suggest a suitable website to sell these please? oh, and CDs (is that musicmagpie?)

Does anybody these days buy/sell videos? Still have some lying around which couldn't get rid of at car boot three years ago (:eek:was it really that long ago!)

Thanking you in anticipation (have been reading but nothing to add to June total so not posting - afraid my posts wouldn't have been very interesting :D)

Declaring my June total as a respectable £192.30 :T:T Yay me!.........and sorry for the long post!

Some videos sell well on Amazon ladyfromvenice, usually the ones you can't get yet on DVD but I've had some great sales on VHS. Otherwise they go straight to the charity shop as you'll struggle to sell them even at a car boot sale. Try Amazon and Play.com for CDs before Music Magpie if you have the time to sell them yourself as MM only give peanuts (if you do use MM get cashback via Quidco too).

I sell paperback books on green metropolis but don't sell many. Again if you can wait to sell them, some might sit on there a year and still never sell. I've sold a few of my OHs James Herbert books there. Other than that if its just paperbacks they don't sell well on Amazon or Play. Most of them will sell for just 1p plus £2.75 postage credit on Amazon so you could even end up out of pocket.
Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/155

ladyfromvenice - pcne do sometimes take a while to get back to you, one of my friends applied and didnt hear for almost 6 weeks before she got approval.

Got my ms payment sorted last night, profit of £14 from the £130 I received, looks quite shocking but there was a fairly expensive purchase reimbursed.

Just been reminded to check my greenmet account - the money from a book sent earlier in the month has cleared so requested £10 - if I'm lucky it'll reach my account before Thursday....

£32 from ebay and £10 from GM probably brings me to my final total for the month. I didn't make the total for the month BUT as I got myself a greenhouse from Freecycle this week I'm satisfied that this makes up for it! And now I've put the effort in the money will come through a little easier next month i'm sure.

Well done all those declaring their fab totals, i'm quite jealous :)

£7.50 from e bay sale after postage and fees + £20 for selling something from a wanted ad in a supermarket - aaaah the old methods still have their place ;)

So think I will declare at a very respectable £371.22

See you over on the other side

Hi alasia and welcome to the 'make £10......' challenge - it is addictive - once you start you can never leave (cue sinister cackle!)

GM is Green Metropolis a website where you can sell books

MB is matched betting - look on the Gambling introductory Offers Board if you're interested.

Can't help you with the CRC ? I'm afraid - MS is mystery shopping which a lot of people do to make extra money

Am sure Purple Roses or Sweetpeas will be along shortly to start off July's thread - they are very good at these matters.

    Happy moneymaking
