Congratulations on the new job Princess Vix. I am hating my part time job, but until I can find something better, am stuck with it as have to pay for nursery if I decide to put DS in, in September.
Last month, I made loads more than the target, but most of my money went on paying my childminder and bills. So I still added it to that month's target as I had made it, just as soon as it was made, it was paid outLike today's money... that's all gone on food and bills.

Had rather a good evening today
1x small ebay item sold, after fees (and minor miscalcultion in the postage I was 1p out, lol) a massive 72p....but already have a bid on the listing for the remainder of the 9 of the bloomin things I have at home.
And went out for a meal with my Dad, a mystery shop reimbursement only but Dad has paid so the reimbursement is mine all mine *cackles*It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Further update - hubbie got £30 from mate for helping him sell some models, I sold item on eBay making £10.93 after fees, etc, and received £50 cheque this morning as cashback from renewal of car insurance. I have more items finishing this weekend on eBay and will be listing more tomorrow.
Revised total is £371.77 - signature updated
Update on holiday plans - Big Sister had booked and paid for our overnight in Travel*dge Edinburgh the night before the Royal Scotsman trip as a treat, I booked train tickets from Newcastle to Edinburgh tonight, put £50 by for diesel for drive up to Mam's in Newcastle & back, booked dogs into kennels and paid the deposit (pleasant surprise as all 3 can go into same pen so it is costing less than I expected) with balance due when we come back, hubbie now has 2 dinner suits, a normal suit, and a pleated dress shirt, all courtesy of the car boot for the stunning total cost of £12!!!! :money: However, I am still looking for my outfits !!! My money raising has enabled me to do this and pay some bills too. Still need my clothes, hubbie's shoes, balance of kennel fees, and spending money, so we still need to work really hard on making loads of extra money
This challenge is making it all possible for us as, even though the actual holiday is free as we are going as guests, we could never have afforded all the rest which would have meant us having to turn down the invite!!!! :eek:Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Hi guys, I would like to join, and am going to be setting myself a slightly ridiculous target...£30 a day eeeeek!
Basically if I want to pay off loan and mortgage in 5 years, which I do! I need to OVERPAY by £1000 a month (or save £1000 to pay off in lump sum) which works out at £32 per day.
Therefore, I am trying to make £30 a day and really need some motivation on this one, it's a huge target! The easiest way is Sunday overtime which will get me and OH about £100 a week after tax for 4 hours. So that's 3 days a week kinda covered, really unsure how I am going to get the rest. Do surveys, and Mystery shops, but they are quite thin on the ground just now!
I wont be counting savings on shopping, but I have a budget of £30 a week so any 'change' will be counted and put in the jar!
You all seem to be doing soo well, so I hope that this thread, along with the Grocery challenge and my diary should keep me in line. I hope!!Wedding, CC and Loan by May2012 Target - £35 a dayStarting 21/01/11 Total so far added to savings - £2316.15 (£82 a day) :j#1280 sealed pot - £58.57 £11k in 2011 - £981.10/£11,0000 -
Got £3 LV from P!necone today
that will hep with the food shopping.

Hi and welcome goingontoolong, wow! You are really motivated! Good on you.
Try things like ebay, priceminster, netmums for selling any surplus items you have in the house, clothes you no longer wear, items you no longer need, etc.
You could try matched betting, but there are no guarantees that you will make money from this. But as always check out the first post on the first page, some useful ideas on there. Good luck and look forward to hearing how well you are doing with the challenge.0
