Has anyone else had a letter from Phoenix asking former policy holders from Phoenix/Sun Alliance to confirm details of their policy, provide personal information etc?
They say they have important information to give us.
Obviously we want to avoid falling for a scam.

Looks like another With Profits fund being messed with by the people trusted to look after it ...0 -
Thanks. I have checked this out but as we no longer have a policy I couldn't see any relevance. I'll ring them today.0

Rang and it is genuine. Due to a recalculation of with-profits, they are sending us a cheque for the huge additional sum of around £17 on a policy that ended in January 20090

That's £17 for you Newly retired, but makes you wonder wonder what their "recalculation" has released for their own shareholders pockets from the With Profits fund generally ...
Sounds like an Aviva type "reattribution" (yes that is a word no-one had ever uttered until AXA Pru and Aviva dreamed it up as a b*llsh*t baffles brains tactic towards getting their hands on the filthy luker).0
