I hope they have some near me. That's the size I need for my work printer.0

Just rang up the largest store near me which is Bromley and the woman ran the duo pack through the till and it was coming up at £34 something. I mentioned someone had bought it at £8.75 and asked if it could have been a local promotion and she said that promotions should be national to all stores but nothing was coming up...confusedComp wins 2010 (Feb onwards) - loads of books, CD, Toys, Photographic lighting rig, Mobile phone, 16GB ipod Nano, Digital cameraComp wins 09 - £4500, 08 - £345.70!0

Each store gets it's own individual sales plan periodically. If printer inks aren't on it anymore, then the store will clearance them to make way for the new things that ARE on the sales plan (either by putting a reduced sticker on it, or making a new shelf label).
This is most likely to occur in medium-sized stores where space is at a premium. However, if Boots discontinue it nationally, it'll still be done through these store plans, so it'd be worth checking now and then to see if your store has caught up. Some stores are more lazy than others in updating what's on the shelves.
My source of information is experience in several stores as an overqualified shelf-stacker, doing these sales plans, and printing the reduced shelf labels. In general, more reduced stuff will be found in medium-sized stores. I hope this helps!
EDIT: I rang a "large" store - printer inks were the normal price. Other "medium" stores had them on clearance but were out of stock. Bottom line - bigger isn't always better.0 -
probably just the medium stores then, hope some of you find them :beer:0

Leamington Spa had quite a few reduced yesterday- HP and Lexmark, can't remember the others.
(as an aside, they also had quite a few SEL and reduced sticker reductions on tolieteries, which may be worth a look)0 -
Chicks, have you checked the Sell By Date on these? I saw heaps in my local store about a month ago for 25p each but they were like well out of date. I don't know if they stop working after a certain date etc.
But good luck. Happy hunting. Have a gorge delicious weekend all.0
