Damsons?? What to do?
Comments
-
i've got about 3kg of damsons which i picked from my lotti last w/e (yes, i know that time ago!). they're still in the fridge, but because of lack of time and equip, i'll think i'll make a liqueur (with vodka) out of them.
if they're to be frozen, wouldn't the nutritional value be lessened at all?0 -
Thanks for all the replies. If only I had a cherry stoner!
PP - I agree - I can't even pick the stones clean with my teeth!
Dogstarheaven - my understanding is that if you freeze fruit/vegetables soon after picking, their nutritional value will be better than leaving them in the veg box.
Going to have to go for the fast and furious approach - wipe, bag, label, freeze. There may be more shortly, so they may arrive when I have more time to deal with them.
Spodger Seedswapper - some apples will be OK in the boxes I have put them in, but some of them have insect damage, so I need to take these out and "preserve" them before spoil the others.Work is not my Hobby0 -

ZIPA little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
