contribution based jsa

Am i correct in thinking only the contribution based part of job seekers is classed as taxable and income based isn't. As this is hat tax credit people told me but my p60 suggests otherwise.

    take a look at this, it looks like both are.Hope this helps, it may show on your p60 and if you exceed your tax code for that tax year you will pay tax. I am not an expert, i am sure someone who does know how it works will be able to give you more info

    thanks ill be asking them after week end just dont know why tax credit people only interested in contribution based as a taxable income and didnt want to know about the income based part of jsa

    It's the same with HB too, If you're on income based you get the full amount with no questions and proof with contribution based you have to supply bank statements etc
