Ok i ahve blonde hair (naturally dark blonde) and have had it high and low lighted so my roots blend in as i grow it without looking so noticable and without e having to use too much colour on it.
I had it done first at the start of feb and it lasted 12 weeks before it looked like it needed re vamping, my hairdresser said it had done really well and was amazed! I used Loreal elvive colour shampoo/conditioner and nothing else.
I had it done again and already it is looking a bit dull and not as nice, i have been using Sunsilk for blonde hair and wonder if they do really make a difference?
So is there a good one out there or has my hair just possibly not taken as well with the colour?
Thanks for any replies x

I can't comment on blonde shampoos but know for me that shampoos without sulfates in help, sulfates are what are often used to cleanse the hair and if they are too harsh or there are too many of them you can end up having the colour fade. Look for anything '.....Sulfate....' and see how high up it is on the ingredients, this should give you some indicatation, shampoos without sulfates are few and far between but they do make a difference. Alcohol can also make it fade so its worth checking to see how high up on the ingredients list that is too.
I have used John Freida's RED shampoo and conditioner but also found the colour faded. Then I used the John Freida colour treatment and found this helped. Umberto Gianni (from Boots) used to have colour shampoos which were excellent (even if they did rinse out 2 washes later!) but Boots don't sell these anymore. I have no idea if they have bothered to make an alternative.
If you do have cash to splash or know of anyone who can get you a bargain/gift then Bumble and Bumble's colour support is good and Aveda don't use sulfates. I don't know if TIGI do or not, they say they don't but then someone found some in the ingredients so check first! Failing that, Wella do a wash-in-wash-out shampoo, as do Superdrug (I think they are the same thing personally) and these are good to use a few times a week maybe every 2 or 3 shampoos.
It could be worth looking for a purple tinted shampoo and/or conditioner, these can brighten up blondes.0 -
I have used Schwarzkopf BC Bonacure Color Save Sulphate-Free Shampoo for a while now and it's very conditioning and does preserve the colour longer than any other I've tried. It's very reasonably priced too, £11.95 for 1.25L - get the pump as well as the bottle is BIG

I swear by Aussie Colour Mate shampoo and conditioner.
I used to have brown hair with blonde sections and using the Loreal Colour Shampoo left it a bit dull after a while and my blonde was going a bit off colour, but when i switched to the Aussie shampoo the blonde just came alive! It looked like it did the day it was done.
I have red hair now ( i change hair colour a lot!) and i still use it. To be fair like all shampoos i use i have to have a 2 week break as my hair goes lank (so i switch to Loreal again) and then go back on the Aussie! All hail to the sale!!!!!!
