my first call.......

Just had my first call from some studio thing telling me that ive won a prize but to guarantee that I turn up I have to pay a deposit of £45

I am assuming this is a scam??

Told them i'd think about it

    No competition is gonna ask you to pay that sort of cash if it's genuine, avoid.

    if you have won a prize you shouldnt have to pay anything , did they say what it was you had won

  • The makeover and photoshoots are always high pressure selling even when not specifically a scam. But most are just scams.

    Avoid.

    something off pick me up magazine, said i'd entered something and they were closing the competition early and I was the winner, and I could take 3 friends.

    As everyone else has said, if you have to pay it is not a win.

    With this sort of thing, you normally get pressured to pay hundreds for prints of photos etc. Not worth it, unless you are an egomaniac desperate for really nice pictures of yourself?
