What Job question?

Hi ya just been for a trainee car sales job and ask all the normal questions like "when can i start, pay, hours, training.
But he said a few times "if i think of another queston on my way home or over the weekend to give him a call" and he gave me his card.
But i cannot think of another relevent question to ask him yet he seems to think i have missed one out, i have even phoned another car sales manager i know to see if there is a question but even he cant think of one either.
Ideas please

I wouldn't get too worked up thinking you've missed a question.
In fact, I'd view it rather positively. No interviewer with more than half a brain would give their card out and invite calls from any candidate they weren't seriously considering taking on. As an employer the last thing you want is to be inundated with calls from all the people you are about to send 'regret' letters to.
Fingers crossed for you!0 -
Have you worked out why he did that?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

To see if i am eager/interested to get the job? apart from this no as i am new to sales and thought of it as a total career change.
I know he is looking for someone to mold to his ways.Spending my time reading how to fix PC's,instead of looking at Facebook.0 -

You'd think so but not necessarily. Three weeks ago I had an interview which (I thought) went really well and HE gave me his card too. I've heard nothing since!
OP - as its a sales job pushyness is seen as a virtue so as he's given you his card I'd give him a call. If he indicated when he might get back to you give him a call late in the day that he said he'd call (if he doesn't call you first) . The one question recruiting sales managers do want people to ask is "so have I got the job"?0 -

Good point! Can't believe I overlooked it. The one thing you HAVE to do as a salesperson is close the sale!0 -
I asked at the interveiw "When do i start"
I have just been told to ask "How are YOU Measured?" so we can work well as a team but first to say how i was overwhemed by his background and training and excited about the training he will do and the overall interveiwSpending my time reading how to fix PC's,instead of looking at Facebook.0 -

What you might want to do is ring him, thank him for the interview etc and that, having learnt more about the role, you're keener than ever about the job so the one question you do have for him is whether he has any reservations about your ability to be a success in the role?
If there's a second stage you can ask if he's progressing you to that next stage. If he hums and hahs and says he has others still to see you can ask "ok well if I was the only person you were seeing for this position would you be comfortable putting me forward/that I can do the job?
Those questions I always ask at the end of the interview as my last questions. If you ring him those are the questions I would be asking. Of course they do lie and say no, no reservations at all (then you hear nothing more from them ever again) but in sales the ones who get the jobs are the ones who ask for them. Its pretty much don't ask don't get.0 -
Questions you should have asked before leaving the interview:
What are the qualities in the person that you are looking for to do the job? [then any that you have missed out on, explain how you meet them].
Is there anything else you want to know about me? [gives him a chance to explore anything lingering]
I'm really interested in the job, it sounds just the sort of role I'm after, what are the next steps? [so that you know what he is planning next and when].0
