yes MFI vouchers hopefully although the extension is currently £15k over budget and the builders say it will take 6 months to build. I said I do not want a whole housing estate just a nice extension but apparently good work cannot be rushed ............... so as of yet we have not contracted a builder to do the work.

In the meantime, my vouchers, tesco fascination and mystery shopping is keeping me occupied until the other 3 builders give us a quote.

Shopping without vouchers is not right !

Just wondering, what are you having done. Are you have an extension? New bedrooms, bathroom?

Hiya Penyffordd, we are having the kitchen extended across ways, then the double garage is joined onto it, then overhead will be two double bedrooms, one with a walk in wardrobe and en-suite. Effectively the size of the extension means we are doubling the size of the house.

Howver, not all is lost as we are still waiting on more quotes and today I won a year's supply of lottery tickets in conjunction with the South Wales Echo which means if I win I'll move house anyway !

Just to say, I have heard of builders working together.
the 1st builder telling the others what they have quoted a customer.
Then the other builders give a quote which is a lot higher than the 1st one and you end uo giving the work to him.
Just make sure the ones you pick are reputable or are ones other people

Rant over(just my brother got done for nearly 10k when the builders did one with his money)
