Hi everyone i have read a few of the previous posts but just needed some advice. so please excuse me if this has already been covered.
Since December last year my oh and i started cccs a fantasic move :T so here are a few questions
1)Recently we were issued with court papers for RBS and have since agreed a payment before going to court, has a ccj still been issued? because when i look at my credit report online it says that no entries have been made (beena couple of weeks now)!!!
2) if we do have a ccj, before we claim back our charges :j we want to open a new account who will have us?(i did apply online with halifax and said no to ccj because there is no entry listed i'll update on this soon)
And finally with regards to claiming back our money what problems, if any, have people had with Barclays- did anyone get their acc closed?
Thank you so much inadvance. Total debt is around £33000 but hopefully reduced with charges money!:p

Hi there and welcome
I'm afraid I can't answer your questions but thought I would bump you back to page one in case someone else can!Highest Debt (July 06): £55117.79 Debt now: £52895.44 Debt Free Date: June 20100 -
1. when you say you were issued with court papers...what do you mean, do you mean the COURT issued a summons or did RBS say they were issuing papers? ... if it was the court, then did you reply in accordance with the attached instructions?
if in doubt phone the court that issued the summons.
2. you can open a BASIC bank a/c with most of the high street banks /building societies even if you have a CCJ. they dont allow an overdraft and most dont provide a cheque book but you can get a cash card and set up standing orders and DDs.
but check you credit record ..if it isn't there then it isnt there.
for details about claiming back charges etc see
