you may find this link to ACAS about payslips useful...in fact the whole site has alot of useful information on it.

You should have completed a P46 and ticked box C.0

owesomuch, I questioned this and asked if they need a P46 and they said they didn't need me to fill one in!Was debt free... then went travelling!0

You do need one, even if you have 4 or five jobs.
They should have also supplied it to you.
This sounds more dodgy by the minute.0 -
Tell me about it! I asked one of the managers about the P46 and he didn't even know what one was, the other one did but said I didn't need to fill one in. I've just looked as well and mergency tax is only 23% so it's even higher than that! Was debt free... then went travelling!0

FACTS.
1 You've not seen a penny in wages for 6 weeks.
2 They're fobbing you off at every opportunity whenever you mention
anything official such as P45, P60 etc.
I really think this speaks for itself about this "firm"
This may be a long way off but if they're not paying your NI then it may affect any benefits such as SSP. unemployment benefit or whatever they call it these days & even further ahead your state pension.Donedoingdebt Lightbulb moment January 2000. Blimey! It is very serious then

Thing is as well, I can't kick off until they pay me because what if they refuse to pay me for the 52 hours I 've already done? I can't prove i've worked there!
My boyfriend's accountant is giving me a P46 to fill in and give them, lets see how they react to that! They also said to me when I tried to get my male friend a job there that they don't like to employ males - I wonder why?!Was debt free... then went travelling!0 -
Your tax coding should be BR for this job, which will tax you on all that you earn, as it concludes that all your tax free allowance (for most people this is £5035 in this tax year), is being used at your other job.
My advice would be get your wages, call ACAS as suggested above (08457 47 47 47), find something else, and then get the hell out of there.
It sounds like a 'short term gain, long term pain' situation if you ask me.'Tis the time's plague, when madmen lead the blind0
