Hi,
Does anyone have any codes or are aware of any deals for any car roadside/recovery companies?
For instance the AA, RAC or Green Flag?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Wingnut
I suggest you look at Martin's article on costcutting for roadside recovery if you haven't already seen it. You will find it here http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi-bin/viewnews.cgi?newsid1094823518,14076,
if got the link correct, or go to insurance in the side bar and scroll down to the bottom.
Hope that helps0 -
Thanks. Yes I have read Martin's document.
At the moment RAC and The AA seem to be comparable in prices due to 25% off promotions - just wondered if there were any codes that brought it down even further.0 -
If you've got tesco clubcard vouchers you can use them for RAC - really good deal.0
-
Quidco are offering £15 cashback, for online RAC orders.0
-
Joined Quidco - clicked through correctly to The AA and applied online.
Membership accepted.. yet Quidco earnings DECLINED!
Is this typical?
Quidco seems a bit hit and miss. I wouldn't have gone with the AA if it wasn't for the Quidco earnings!!0 -
I've had very few earnings declined on quidco. generally quite reliable, although i have learnt that it never pays to buy something if you rely on getting the cashback!0

Level 1 £32.99 which basic assantance repair and to a garage or home is less than 15 miles.
Level 2 £39.99 is same plus national recovery to home or anyway in UK cost of alt transport. 1 night accomodation and 48 hour car hire.
Level 3 £59.99 again all the same as leval 2 but you get assistance at your home.
I plumped for level 2. Plus the prices above are 12 months with the offer you only pay for 9 months which is 1/4 off those prices. Plus you can pay by monthly dd, and you can cancel after the three month period with nothing else to pay.
I have just returned from holiday and did break down, i took out the halfords level 3 cover and lucky for me i did, had to wait about 1.5 hours before we were being relayed to liverpool but this included the first guy who said he could not fix it. They even sent a transporter round in the morning to pick up the car to take to the nearest dealer, best quid i have ever spent. Make sure you activate the cover 48 hours before you travel, hope this helps.Regards

Tesco are giving away up to 650 clubcard points on their roadside recovery, The most comprehensive one costs £79 with Green Flag.
I have been a member of Green Flag and have 2 years no claims with them but my quote for this year was £106 - same cover is £79 with Tesco plus the extra 650 points.0
