The other day I posted about how sometimes I feel like I'm wishing my life away for payday so I can pay something off my debt!
Just looking around the forums and came across the mortgage pig thread - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=169247
Basically it's a piggybank that he "feeds" whenever he has loose change in his pockets, gets some extra money, debating getting a take away etc.
Now we have a Jack Daniels Bottle that we do this with but we wait until it's full and it's only 2p, 1p and 5p that go in there! and this takes AGES
I'm gonna start a "debt pig" that I empty every second week of the month and pay it off the credit cards (this way I'll have a 2 weekly 'fix'
)
Just thought it might help others!:beer:

I've loved the ideea of a mortgage pig since it started and have planned to do it when our debt is paid off, but agree a debt pig is a fab idea. I have a debt duck and it has £16 in it so far :beer: I also might start paying it in monthly.May 2015 £10 a day currently £2080
