I hope if this is followed up by the press they don't focus soley on the pornography, as grannybiker pointed out encouraging teens to make their statuses public was bad enough in the first place. I can't link from this mobile but the Mumsnet thread is 'need help with a sensitive complaint against a massive multinational! in the chat section of forum.

Wow!! I anticipate that this is going to be big, as much as it was fun for those who joined in (myself included), that is absolutely appalling, I would be absolutely mortified any of my children had used the application. What's worse is that younger children could easily install the app without any checks being made. The fact that you have to make your profile public eventually deterred me, but younger children are so naive & who knows what lurkers could have been nosing at their pages. Out of 160,000 people (it started off at just 400 people when I joined)I am betting there are many more teenagers that have joined in.

I hope it does go further, hopefully to outline to other PR's that it's unacceptable. I'm quite shocked that it's happened!!

that is totally unacceptable and disgusting especially from a company as big as Coca Cola.

I didn't join as I didn't like the terms and conditions insisting that my profile had to be public.

Good luck to Mrs Rickman in her quest for an apology and for highlighting this total disregard for decency

WOW - glad I didnt get that status - got many other cringy ones but tbh that would have gone over my head until I investigated what it meant !!!!!

Good luck to her as its not right.

It was a funny idea though and having cringy things said was quite good but not gross !!!!!! stuff.
