check here for info. There is a similar deal for contract customers.
  • Just be aware of the major difference between the contract and prepay promotion - for prepay, the calls are only free if you are making the calls from your nominated postcode area.

O2 Long Weekends Every Month for Life
Join or upgrade on a £35 or above plan with an 18 month contract and you’ll get free calls to any UK mobile or landline every Saturday, Sunday and Monday for Life. Maximum of 2000 standard UK minutes per month.

O2 Long Weekends for 6 Months
Join or upgrade on a £35 or above plan with a 12 month contract and you’ll get free calls to any UK mobile or landline every Saturday, Sunday and Monday for 6 months. Maximum of 2000 standard UK minutes per month.

So if you are an existing customer and you can't / don't want to upgrade, you're at a loss

I suppose for postpay the catch is by upgrading you are committing yourself to new 12 month or 18 month contract. If you go to www.o2.co.uk there's a ad for it. Clicking on that takes you to all the info, including full terms and conditions.

think the catch is if you have a 35 + tariff you already have alot of minutes so more minutes wont make much of a difference to most people but it looks good
