after placing an order for the xbox controler i called them up and the customer service lady said that the codes are only to be used for people who have recieved the codes through lxdirect, but she never mentioned if i would have to pay the full amount for it and i said ok and put the phone down, lol, the free dilivery code will defenatley not work, but the other code might, not really sure

I just bought a spiderman 2 alluminum skate board for my little boys birthday.
littlewoods were selling it 4 £39.99. lxdirect £24.99 I used the £12.95 + free postage and packing and so it cost me £12.04.
thats a saving of £27.09p. wow.

But be aware lxdirect charge u the full amount but do refund u the saving. I saved a fortune at christmas on Tracy island and baby annabelle.

Free delivery code didn't work for me just now Other one for £12.95 off appeared to work but still haven't received confirming email!

Just a little note, it seems that you have to spend over the £12.95 to get the discount. I tried buying a top for £12 and as I went through check out it said that the code didn't apply so i tried adding another item to take it over £12.95.... hey presto it worked!

Couldn't get the free p+p code to work though (boohoo!)

I used the £12.95 & P&P codes on a £25 item. Got an email to call them,
(they do this alot not a problem) Called them and the lady said that i could not use a free P&p and the £12.95 code as the £12.95 code is a £10 and free p&p in one.
They dont like 2 code's in one order at the moment.

If you are buying someting for about £25, you are getting it at 50% off, which is not bad in my book. I would stick to one code, then you should not have a problem. Dont get me wrong, i have had it where i have had 3-4 codes stacked up before xmas (boy that was some good times on here) and got through no probs.

But LX have got well onto this now.

They aren't allowing both codes to be used in one order at the moment, at least not for me anyway.

I placed an order for a £35 item online yesterday, checkout system accepted both codes and order seemed fine. However, confirmation email arrived today and they had removed one code (the £12.95 one!). Cheeky buggers

Anyway, phoned up to cancel the order (on the free 0800 number of course, hehe) and they reinstated the 12.95 discount and instead knocked off the 2.95 free p&p voucher.

For me that's still a good deal, becase the item in question is competatively priced anyway, which for these LX lot is a very rare thing.

I'd just like to caution people about the pricing in these catalogues because what may seem like a good deal with these discount vouchers is often not at all.

The prices they charge for most of their stock are outrageous, things that are £30 elsewhere can be a tenner or more extra with this LX or Littlewoods mob. So, check around before you commit, to make sure you ain't getting quietly shafted by these people.

Remember, we want to be the ones doing the shafting, not them
