Question about GFs wages

I am not sure what to make of this. My GF is pregnant and all of a sudden her boss wants to change her wages, in the way of, at present, she gets paid the last friday of every month. now he wants to change it so that if the middle of the month is a middle of a week i.e. wed then he witholds the 3 end days and add that to the next months wage. he is changing only hers and none of the other peoples. she hasnt had problems with sick leave etc so i dont understand it. although he has changed staff hours a few times so now she doesnt work wednesdays as he says the company is struggling. also i have had a look over the next few months and when it gets to august she will be owed 2 days in sept, then 4 days from sept in oct wages, it will just make a complete mess

is this normal or even legal? GF isnt happy with it

Does your gf have a contract - what does it say in there? He can't change how he pays without her agreement - if the contract says she will be paid the last Friday in the month for that calendar months salary e.g. paid 25 June for salary to 30 June.

I am worried by the fact he is singling your gf out though.

The best advice I can offer you is to call ACAS immediately and seek their advice on this and the best way to deal with it. Make sure if your GF does have a contract, you have this to hand when you call.

what annoys me is that he always proud of the fact he has never lost a employment tribunal, i think he knows that GF is going to be off for 9 months and wants to replace her without paying redundancy money. am waiting for her to bring her contract home now so i can at least have a look.

    thanks
