hi everybody.
am new to this site and find it all very interesting.
anyway, my mum had a letter yesterday about a capital one visa card i had about seven years ago.
was having trouble paying the money, wrote to them. got a reply asking to show all my outgoing then never heard anything again, they have decided to try and get the money back again.
is there a time limit on getting the debts back or do i just pay up.

If you havn't heard from them in over 6 years then they can go jump. Don't admit to the debt but point out the rules if you write back to them.Barclaycard 3800
Nothing to do but hibernate till spring

Statute barred means as long as you havn`t tries to avoid capital one e.g changed address without telling them than you no longer owe the debt. This takes place after 6 years.Sabre rattling um,er means they can kick off all they want but will not be able to persue the debt.0
