student loan question

I have a pre 98 student loan with some arrears if I pay off the arrears will it be written off at 50?

    Thats good news in 3 weeks time, it has arrears at the minute that I could pay off easily

    You mean as a student you actually read the small print?!

    the problem is i amnot sure what the arrears amount to. I had 2 loans and have paid off the after 98 one but havent paid any of this one it was confusing to say the least, how can i find out what the arrears are? hmmm

    Ring the SLC or whoever deals with your loans.
  • does this applies to student loan taken out in 2000 too? And i was a mature student then....
