Loan company saying I made an over-payment?!

Hiya.

I have a loan with santander and recieved a letter today to say that I have made an over-payment of £5.5k and they would refund it

I called to find out where it came from and they were VERY quick to get me off the phone and said thier admin team will look into it and write to me. So looks like they now don't want to pay it hehe.

Anyone experienced this?

Thank you

Hold onto that letter!!! I have no idea if the case but there may be a chance they have to honour it/ agree to lower your final outstanding debt...

I would not of told them, Imagin the intrest on that amount if you transfered it to a good savings account. And if they say we made a mistake we want it back, then thats fine.
