Hello,
I am about to apply for a position within IT in the NHS. I am in the process of updating my CV but wondered if anyone can help (insiders maybe) with a NHS Approved CV layout, template or whatever or any tips even.
Any help appreciated.

hi
about the cv the best thing i advice you is to go to this free website
getmeacooljob.com
Here you can find everything thing you need to write in your personal profile and in your skills for the specific position you are applying for .
In this website go to key skills for see what skills the your specialit need so as to write them in you CV0 -
Are you sure the NHS accepts CV's? I thought they recruited on equal ops lines.£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0

I've seen some requests for CVs.0

Most NHS organisations recruit using standard templates to ensure consistency & meet equal opps opportunities.
CVs tend to only be for agency / temp work.
Have a look at https://www.jobs.nhs.uk for the main NHS recruitment site.
Highlight any experience you have using generic software; if you've used in house software - highlight the fact that you're able to pick things up quickly; customer service skills; anywhere you've saved money / time / effort for an organisation or improved systems or a process.
Demonstrate how you've added value and relate it to their area of work.
Keep it short, but enough meat in it to want you to come in."This is a forum - not a support group. We do not "owe" anyone unconditional acceptance of their opinions."0
