The one thing that jumped out me though was that in the OP it is stated that their son uses the car at weekends offroad, yet further down they are saying that he is agrophobic and doesn't use the car?

Maybe the 'sceptic on the street' hearing tales 'of people getting loads of stuff on credit and going bankrupt etc' should refrain from posting on a thread asking for help.. you certainly have not heard 'of people getting loads of stuff on credit and going bankrupt etc' from here - sterotypical? judgemental? This is not the place for opinion and doesn't help anyone.

Oh i'm sorry, I forgot that on here you are only helping people if you tell them they are right and everyone else is wrong.....

Blowing smoke up peoples !!!!!s helps no one and FYI a) yes I have heard of people getting loads of stuff on credit and going bankrupt on here so you are wrong and b) I know people who have done this in real life situations and MSE isn't necessarily always representative of the real world anyway.

Also this forum IS the place for people to give opinions so who are you to say it isn't....? Probably half of everything posted on MSE including your post giving your opinion on my post.... pot.... kettle....

Anyway... apologies OP for going off topic... I hope you took my original post in the spirit it was intended.

the sceptic in the street is a no-mark......whose opinion should be given no more status than that of the trivial....

Or in this case the sceptic in the street was a judge in court whom you feel you are obviously so much better than. ;)
