Beware: WH Smith Printer Cartridge offer

My local WH Smith has large "Buy One Get One Half Price" signs for printer cartridges. Fortunately I know roughly what to expect but be aware that some of the undiscounted prices are ridiculously high. My printer takes HP 363 cartridges (code C8772EE). WH Smith price for 1 colour cartridge: £19.99. HP's own web site price £11.
WH Smith's web site is offering "up to 45% off" but again basing their discounts on inflated prices.
It isn't hard to beat the manufacturer's prices (I bought from Amazon in the end).

So in effect, you are telling people to look around before they buy, which any good MSE should do. Not really suitable for posting on grabbit...0

The same principle applies for WH Smith's 'buy one get one half price' toy 'sale'Top Cash Back: £882
Boots Card: £160

Our local independant stationer keeps those cartridges for £8.99. That the lowest I've seen in town, they said they just offer them at a low price rather than conning people with inflated priced gimmicks!******************************************
It's not what you SAVE it's what you PAY that counts!!
