I think you have come amazingly far JJ :T

I know there is still a long way to go but what you have done to far is one hell of an achievement, it really is :D

    What she says.

I also found writing each step down helps. Doesn't look so frightening. Maybe it's not what you would have wanted, but when all is done you will have achieved a colossal amount! Maybe a second career as a builder awaits you?

    Then again...

I'll third that! Well done indeed, you have achieved something amazing but you don't need me to tell you that.

I think you may get the remainder done in less time, too - for instance that airing cupboard... :)

Pretty much what I have done all along; one step at a time. You have all made me realise that even the smallest improvement is an achievement.:)

Wish I had the skill of a proper builder, don't mind messing up my home but not someone else's.

I hate to say it but I think you have gained a lot more skills than a lot of so called builders have!

can someone post a link to which tv show joe was on please?

we have just had a lot of building work done, we have been very lucky and have had excellent tradesmen (bar one, but that's now sorted) but the stress of just normal building work has been enough - i really don't know how you have carried on through all this.

so pleased for you its almost finished, bet you can't wait to be finished and be able to just come home, shut the door and relax and not have to think of jobs that need doing
