Every so often we see newbys asking what various things mean, and even people like me who have been dealing with the CSA for a few years now get occassionally stumped.

Suggestions for additions welcome and I will add them to this list:

NRP: Non resident parent
PWC: Parent with care
DEO: Deduction from Earnings Order
MEF: Maintenance Enquiry Form
IMA: Interim Maintenance Assessment
DP: Data Protection [file/s]
ICE: Independent Case Examiner
NRPP: Non Resident Parents Parner
SoS: Secretary of State
LO: Liability Order
CMEC: Child Maintenance and Enforcement Commission
C of C - Change of Circumstances
DO - Deduction Order (Banks/deposit takers)
DER - Deductions of Earnings Request
QC - Qualifying child
RO - Relevant other child
DM - Decision Maker
CM - Child Maintenance
CO - Charging Order
IMD - Interim Maintenance Decision
NQC - Non-qualifying Child
SC - Shared Care
PWCP - Parent with care partner
PeWC - Person With Care
DMD - Default Maintenance Decision
ROC - Relevant Other Child
MC - maintenance calculation
SUPSE - supersession (change to maintenance calc following a change in circs)
E/D - Effective date (date liability starts)
CHiB - Child Benefit

A big thank you to everyone has contributed.
When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.

Great idea - I didn't know MEF or IMA, and no doubt there are others that I don't know either.

    CSA_Help, is DP Data Protection?

DP added, glad someone has learned from the list already.

If people think its a good idea then one of Martins band of merry men and woman might make it a sticky so its easy to refer to.

    Any more to be added?

NRPP - is that Non Resident Parents Partner? I was gonna add it but wanted to check first!

Here are some that would confuse me if I were reading my file (not all acronyms, some are just terms in general use)

    PeWC - Person With Care
    DMD - Default Maintenance Decision
    ROC - Relevant Other Child
    MC - maintenance calculation
SUPSE - supersession (change to maintenance calculation following a change in circumstances)
E/D - effective date (date liability starts)
CHiB - the usual way they refer to Child Benefit

    Ive added the latest lot.

I will give it a couple more days then I will ask one of Martins band of merry men and woman if one of them can make it a sticky, if others agree it would be useful ofcourse!
