Hi
Wonder if you could advise if I would get a mortgage in my current circumstances?
Myself and my girlfriend have respective credit scores from Experian of 899 and 949.
Our combined annual income is £38,000.
I work in local government, and have done so for 7 years and my girlfriend has just started a new job this week, but has had no breaks in employment since leaving school.
My concern is that I currently have a 5 year old satisfied default on my credit file, my girlfriends credit file has no adverse information.
I have a 36 month loan with Welcome Finance, have missed no payments since inception and have 12 months remaining to pay at £166 per calendar month - this is our only debt.
We have seen a property valued at £128,000 and would be able to put down a 10% deposit, in the current market - would we be able to secure a mortgage?
Thanks in advance

How did the default come about?
