Woolwich/Barclays mortgage taking forever.

We applied for a woolwich mortgage via a broker about a month ago. 16 days ago we got the evaluation/survey and it passed with flying colours. Today the underwriter called our broker asking about council tax banding for the flat and said we should get an update in a few days time. It it normal for them to take this long. We are going crazy as can't plan anything. My partner is a teacher and we had hoped to be moved in by next week as its half term

No idea, but we're going to see a Woolwich advisor today for our formal mortgage application, so I'll be asking them.
When I spoke to one of the advisors on the phone, she said the actual application process would take between 4-6 weeks.marlasinger0
