Phasing question

since the new rules letting PWC on benefits keep the full amount of CSA money, is there any need for phasing?
it seems that it is a very unfair bit of CSA legislation
anyone any thoughts?

Oh yes I have every faith that Davey boy is getting around to this little gem as we speak. Cant see the tories letting that one slip through the net, can you:D
(edit: re the full benefit disregard, cant see the tories wanting that to continue)
Having said that its said that the CSA itself doesnt turn a profit so ........ what do we think the tories answer is going to be to this loss making enterprise we lovingly call our CSA? I cant see them axing it, but i'm not sure what else they can do about it.0 -

How do you know what the Conservatives are going to do about the disregard?
Do you have a crystal ball?
It remains to be seen, whatever they do they cant make a worse fist of it than Labour, who have left this country drowning in debt!0 -
ok maybe im getting this wrong and only thinking about my own case, im classed as a middle income earner and the difference from old rules to new rules wa quite a gap ie original maintenance was assessed at £70 per week (this was for one child) now new assessment is £35 per week. ex is in receipt of benefits and therefore only received £10 of my maintenance, but now she receives all my payments plus her income support, but why should I have to pay phasing? she would still receive more money anyway now? But im being penalised for this. Hardly seems fair in my opinion as the reason phasing was introduced was to allow either party a period of time to adjust to the new payments!
Im on the last year of my phasing so only 9 months or so to go, but it angers me that im being penalised, could this be challenged??0 -
well lets hope the tories do something about it, im sick to death of the csa ruining peoples lives when the other parent comes out on top:mad: they have already scrapped the child trust fund so hopefully the next thing to sort out is the csa and the amount they take off the NRP.I will lose 2 stone by this summer!!!!!!0
