Hi mumoffour77
Have you pulled info on the house from propertybee or irishhousehunter?
If you would like me to get info from propertybee, if you dont already have it, you could pm me the page and i can check?
Have you found out if they need to sell or just waiting to see if they get a good offer? Have there been previous offers?
On the housepricecrash site (the NI section in the forum is an essential read) there is a saying that goes along the line of 'if you are not embarrassed, its not low enough'0 -
thanks!!
i have been driving by it for months....and plucked up the courage to ring the estate agent yesterday!!
So I dont know what its on!! (IYKWIM)
I got the brochure today.....and rang my fincial advisor!!
There are a few problems....My dad is a clerk of works and has been around a "few" lol old buildings/sites.....he told me to ring the estate agent and ask if there is building control certs for 2 sets of patio doors on the gable wall...(he said that there wouldnt be because anyone in their right mind would not have passed this, no steps and quite a big drop to the ground!!) I dont know im not of a builders mind!!
When i rang the estate agent he said the doors had been in for 9 years and that he thought they would be ok....so i badgered him to ring the seller he is gonna get back to me!!
I was gonna go in with 105000.00 im not embarassed with that....i will be knocking most of it down!!.....
I dont think there have been previous offers....(but would the estate agent be honest if there were no offers?)....I dont think they need to sell...the people who own in are quite well off....(but i dont know them):jIm going to be frugal:j:DIm going to be frugal:D;)Im going to be frugal;)Beetlejuice Beetlejuice...................:rotfl:0 -
House prices have not (all) reached their rateable value; mine is still 35%-40% above.0

any ea's i have been speaking to me have told if there have been offers but I have used sites like propertybee to find out if there have been price reductions or if it has been marked as sold (my spacebar is playing up at moment-socannot type properly!)

Following what another poster said on the house prices thread....(steve)
How do you find out about repossessed houses?
still waiting on the EA getting back to me re the planning/building thats already there......sigh
Fincial advisor, said that as im not waiting on my house being sold i have a bargining tool...im not in a chain!!
Im thinking of renting out my house (well i will need to stay in it until the house, if i get it, is rebuilt)
Im just delighted that the mortgage company didnt take my house into the equation....cause that would have been an absolute nightmare!!:jIm going to be frugal:j:DIm going to be frugal:D;)Im going to be frugal;)Beetlejuice Beetlejuice...................:rotfl:0
