Magazine letters

Options
Hi there, I just wondered which magazines offer you to write tips or little letters for money. I know that Take A Break do but I am struggling to get the email addreses for other magazines. i've looked at Woman's Own and Women's weekly type ones but I can't find a webpage to look for more information. Does anyone have the details or know anything about them?

Thank you

Well you could always look in the magazines to find out where to send letters and how much they pay. If you don't want to buy the mags you can read them in doctor's surgeries/dentist waiting rooms/ask friends to pass them on to you/pick back issues up for coppers in charity shops or at car boot sales. I thiink all women's magazines have letters pages - maybe not all offer cash for printing but most have some kind of prize. Usually sellable! Some newspapers do too - the Sun gives away £50 for the main letter each day and even our local paper gives away £20 once a week for money saving tips. You've a better chance of making money if you research it properly.

  • Get hold of the Writers and artists Yearbook. It lists who accepts letters as well as column fillers and all the other things. It has addresses and also payment information if available.

I was once paid £50 for a letter to Saga magazine. (I'm 33....)
  • Pick them up i asda and note the email addresses down into your phone or a post it note, I do that with the discount voucher codes!!

i know, TAB, chat, pick me up, bella, best, all of those do readers tips, stories and photos for around £20

most of them publish your full name, age and first line of your address though, that always put me off.
Don't like the idea of my address and full name being published.
It only takes a second to say 'Thanks, you just saved me a few quid!'

I was Letter of the Month in PC Magazine years ago, I'm still waiting for my cheque. So I let my subscription lapse.
