Yey - some good news

Hi All,

Had my LBM about a week ago when I sorted mine and my partners finances and realised we were in 36k debt.

Last week was a really bad week, I think I was in shock but I was really low and just wanted to run away and if it hadn't been for you guys on here I probably would of!!!

So I wanted to report some good news, back in Jan I spent £550 on a cross trainer from Amazon (I was still in denial then) and it has never been quite right with the screen flickering, so I rang them last week and they have picked it up and are issueing a full refund!!!! Yey.:T

Even better news is that I paid with real money - not credit, so I can use it to pay off one of the smaller debts and will free up £45 a month in repayments!!! :rotfl:

Anyway just wanted to say thanks really to all of you that got me through last week, this week is a lot more positive and it's payday on friday so the new monthly budget starts and I'm actually looking forward to being in control for a change!!!

Oh and even though the cross trainers gone, i'm going to outdoors exercise - its freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!:j

well thats great news :D big well done

and dont worry about having a downer last week, the first few months of your debt free journey will be hard and you will have many ups and downs as you try to adjust to your new lifestyle, however if you keep on these forums you will always find a person who will listen and try and help (or at least i have) when you do have another downer

    big hugs

on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)

Well done - it is good to hear good news

You have already made a great start - if you had not had your LBM that cross trainer would still be sitting there and you would still have that extra debt - a LBM, once you get your head around it, focuses your mind

Good luck with your budgeting for next month and in the future :T
