Item not as described (cosmetic)

I bought several items from play.com and while i am satisfied with the majority of the products, two were not as pictured/described and obviously had i known, i would never have bought them. The problem is that the "faults" are cosmetic.

One ipod docking station says it is compatible with my ipod and while it is if i use the adapter i got with the ipod itself, none of the adapters that i received with the docking station fits and the one that i got with the ipod is a completely different colour.

The 2nd item is what was described/pictured as a pale pink leather slip case for said ipod. When it arrived it was a dark dusky pink (actually looks slightly purple-ish).

While the defects are purely cosmetic, they are different enough that i would never have made the purchases had i known about the differences. Even at a discounted price i wouldnt want them.

I'm going to be returning them but i'm pretty sure play.com are going to stiff me for the postage costs.

Does anyone know who has the legal responsibility for the postage costs?

I called play.com (and recorded the call - i distrust anyone who has my money or wants it lol) and they confirmed they would be responsible for the postage in that case.

Technically if the product is not of suitable quality or not as described, distance selling regulations (which Jersey DO have a version of their own - very similar to UK's) entitle you to return it as "faulty".
