Hi all,
I am coming to the end of a two year fixed option with Nationwide (Oct 31) at 4.79%. At present I have 11 years left on the mortgage but would like to reduce it down to 5 if possible!! I have been looking at the One Account and have done the math on their site and it looks possible to do - what are your thoughts on this account? Are there any other options. I currently have a 130k mortgage.

We are with the One Account and it is quite good, but I am led to believe that there are better offset mortgages out there, although I haven't changed myself yet. There are other mortgages out there that will allow you to overpay as well, so you can reduce quite quickly, without penalty. Ask in the Mortgage Free Wannabe for more info.
If nothing ellse, this will give your post a wee bump and some others may pitch in.Debt at worst: £33000
Debt now: £0, (Ok, a £650 overdraft)
£3000 Credit card (aiming to get this down with 0% card)0 -
Thanks for your advice I will research offset mortgages a little more!!!

I don't know if London and Country ( free mortgage brokers) do offset mortgages but I recommend them heartily if you are looking for a new mortgage.I don't work for them ,just a very satisfied customer...0
