Hi,
I am hoping someone can give me some good advice to give my parents. My father is 60 the sole earner in my parents house and has just been taken into hospital. There is now a risk that he will either not be able to work regularly or at all. He has a very small pension and still have about 30K on his mortgage on a house worth around 250K. With no guaranteed income past retirement or sickness what should they do to ensure their future?
Any help would be appreciated.

If hes now 60, then hes eligible to claim pension credit.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0
