Microsoft have launched "Microsoft Fix It Centre" It's in the Beta stage of testing but it works fine. It's a FREE download that fixes many problems including;
Problems with sound,
Video problems in browsers,
Aero Glass problems,
System Maintainance,
Internet Explorer problems,
System speed and performance,
Windows search problems,
CD/DVD drive problems.
It's available from.....

Don't forget the HTTP:// at the front of the address

you need Servicepack 3 on XP which previously put my PC into a reboot loop and I had to do a restart to manufacturing condition0
