Oh me too, I've can see fluff stuck in the chamber but don't know how to get it out...0 -
to clean the chamber, you need to remover the 3 sreews from the top of the chamber, (on the section where the word dyson is stuck on the handle )there is a rod that goes through to the bin flap at the bottom, this rod is designed to break if force is applied to the lid, whilst removing it, a way of dyson making a killing on these hoovers, as at least £25 to replace the chamber ,as rods not sold seperatley, you need to gently prize on the black rod from where the bin catch is on the underside of the funnel section, but making sure the the lid section is held, once the top is off u will be amazed how dirty the inside is, u can either wash this section through (leaving to dry completly or will block up even worse) or if you have another hoover get a mc donalds straw and attach it to the hose section and hoover each cone(funnel) section out till u can see a small hole in each one, only try to do this at your own risk. it is by no means a easy fix due to the nature of the rods that run through them,........ but if they do break you can rejoin it with a mc ds straw as a sleaving and either glued or taped in place,i have in my time done a few of these but please remember this is a last resort!!!!!!! always wash the filter along side the motor out every 3/4 weeks, this makes a great difference.i know this is long winded but a little hard to try and explain in words as very simple to show on machine.......... any questions please feel free to ask, ill try and help if i can,:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:0

for those that asked, i am constantly pulling my dc14 to bits in order to get some suction, pulling out carpet fluff, dog hairs etc.
i have had dyson come out and service it on a number of occasions and they state that this is normal.i cant get through a week without doing this boring task, and trust me i could think of better ways of spending my time.
when cleared out it works brill, but as i said this only lasts a couple of more hoovers. i wouldnt mind but im not really that houseproud and use it only a couple of times a week!!!!
the dc14 is not a patch on my previous one a dc07Give blood - its free0 -
ive a dyson cyclone, the best you can get , you can wash the whole thing<apartfrom motor obviously>i run the whole chamber under tap and wash with good old fairy then leave to dry, nowt you can ruin on a cycloneYou're not drunk if you can lie on the floor without holding on0
