Ive heard folk who travel to get their kid's can apply for a discount towards travelling, is there any qualifiying distance?

"With contact costs, the law in the UK says they can be taken into consideration but it's done in a complicated way called a variation. Your contact costs are worked out on a weekly basis (so if you pay £100 for a plane ticket once a month, this equates to £23 a week you are spending.) This amount is then taken off your assessable income, but the first £15 a week is disregarded"
as far as I can see the discount is negligible if any
example 2 kids income £200 per week = CM £40 per week
if contact costs £25 per week
first £15 not counted so applicable income reduce to £190 = CM £38 per week0 -
ok np, so not worth claiming, its only 140 miles per week im talking about0
