The way it was spelt out to me was that it implies anything being done which is akin to what a director would be doing...so if you just want your friend in the company to sign the accounts and have his name at company house while you effectively perform the same role as you were previously doing, well that makes you a director in every other sense of the word..and like one of the other replies said, you will be in breach of the restrictions of your bankruptcy. And that will likely lead to a BRO.

It's a stupid rule. I'm just trying to earn a living. I'm not trying to screw anyone over. I guess I'll just have to be a sole trader for a while. Does Business Debtline know about this stuff. I really need to get proper advice. Will the OR tell me what to do?
