Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

  • Thanks for this, it's a great find & I'm sure loads of people will appreciate you posting it :)

(I was surprised more people hadn't thanked you for this yet - after all, MOTs are essential for everyone who drives, so you'd think a discount this good would get a massive response. Then I thought -maybe some people have just missed it. So, in case that was true, I decided to spread the word on your behalf.

I've started a thread in the Motoring, Public Transport & Cycling board, and another one on this board, telling everyone how clever you are and directing them to your post. I hope you don't mind. I just thought that more people should see it - not just so it helps them - but also so you get the thanks you deserve for finding it :)

No worries, if it helps only one person that is cool, and I just changed the thread title to be a little more specific

Search the motoring forum for Nationwide, might be a different name but it'll be the same staff.

Keith, they may not have the best name in the world, but this is for an MOT if they pick up on anything you can go elsewhere to do any fixes, I have 2 cars only one of which needs an MOT, and its a real battle finding a trustworthy garage to do it, there are bad apples in the industry, but tarnishing everyone with the same brush is not right.

The offer is there, its about £10 cheaper than most other garages, its down to you if you want to go there, nobody is twisting your arm here.

It's best for people to go into this with their eyes open.

Chances are most will go, present the voucher and be given a list of problems that the garage actually fix.

I've posted on the motoring forum for years reading about people who have been ripped off by this company, and I had a personal experience a few years before I joined it.

If you want to find a trustworthy garage, ask friends, ask people in the local, stay away from most chain garages and find a decent local place.

You may save £10 by going to NW, but you'll save more by finding a decent garage.

Well I use a number of places, none of them large companies, as an ex taxi driver you tend to learn who is good, and I avoid some local garages like the plague, as I said bad apples. I also got a mechanic who has a mobile garage, he undercuts everyone and gives a vat receipt. But to the point of the thread, its there if people want to use it, i'm not endorsing them, and I don't work for them, its an option, and the more you have the better imo
