The government borrows money from the banks, the banks then get into all of these elaborate derivative schemes and some of them bite them, the government then pays these banks trillions and trillions, which in turn drives up sovereign debt and leading to demands for cutting wages, slashing pensions etc.
So on that note, excuse me if I don't join in with the fan fare of taxes and morality. I think you should remind yourself that the income tax is used to pay off the debt or in this case the increased taxes across the board will also be used to pay the banks for the debt the banks got into :rotfl:
As for earning 100K at a primitive level, I feel envious but lets put this into perspective shall we. The derivatives market is worth some 1.4 quadrillion, the banking families are worth tens of trillions, there are tens of thousands of multi millionaires.
The OP might have mortgage concerns etc and yes you can say he over stretched etc but then again who doesn't. He has already pointed out that he is going through a divorce and those things are tremendously expensive and so unless you know his finances inside out, then there really is no room to criticise.
Likewise the complaints about someone on state benefits are so deeply tedious, it's extremely small fry. Have you noticed how hundreds of trillions simply disappears into a black hole and yet all we focus on is someone earning a higher salary and someone getting 26k between herself and 2 kids?0 -
 For the love of God, please let this thread die now. I feel for the original poster having asked a question and then regretted it enough to delete it.
I only come in here to see if the OP has returned but he has run away and probably will never look back or come back to MSE.
Let it go.0 -

When the ONLY reason that those people who failed to become successful manage to survive on their crappy salaries which they need to get so heavily subsidised by other tax-payer's money,
is because the people who managed to become successful high-earners!!
Rothschild also posts - equally stupidly as out of work Firey668Just in case any of you haven't twigged about the twin trolls(and fantatists) - Rothschild and Firey668 are one and the same person.
