Plums and grubs

Zend
Our plum tree has just produced its first harvest of plums, however when opening a few we have found red grubs. There is also a brown area around the stones and my OH is worried that these might be eggs. Is it alright to use the plumbs if we remove the grubs? or if I freeze them. It seems such a criminal waste to just throw them away, especially as OH managed to break the main branch of the tree:mad:

I might be wrong, but I thought grubs were the immature creature and so they couldn't lay the eggs?0

But presumably they hatch from eggs?
I would bin them I'm sorry to say. Hopefully someone will come along and tell you not to!May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0
