CRB Check Question....

Hellooo
I changed my name approx 2 years ago (nothing dodgy on my part - just a weirdo ex boyfriend who wouldn't take the hint!) I want to become a social worker but this involves having a CRB check. I dont want there to be any link to my old name, which I would have to put on the form. I am happy for them to search my previous name because I have nothing criminal to hide, but do they report the links to a credit search agency etc? My ex had performed a credit search on me to find me before......

As far as I know CRB and credit searches are two totally separate processes, and should not be linked in any way.

Organisations like Women Aid may have specialist advice for women who are escaping from an abusing/violent/harrassing ex partner (let's be honest, he must have done some serious stuff for you to take such a drastic step).

Your CRB check won't show up on a credit check or vice versa. They've got nothing whatsoever to do with each other. Good job from my point of view as my credit rating would be shot if CRBs involved a check check
