FREE: Microsoft Virtual PC

Microsoft Virtual PC is now free. Microsoft will also offer the free download of Virtual PC 2007, with support for Windows Vista, available in 2007.

What is Virtual PC software (extract taken from Microsoft website):

"Virtual PC lets you create separate virtual machines on your Windows desktop, each of which virtualizes the hardware of a complete physical computer. Use virtual machines to run operating systems such as MS-DOS®, Windows, and OS/2. You can run multiple operating systems at once on a single physical computer and switch between them as easily as switching applications—instantly, with a mouse click."

I have an older version of this and it is a great product,
it is great for testing new programs with
no effect on your operation system

once OS installed it is a very versatile utility,
I for one will definitely get the new version!

    Excellent link, thanks

Yes. Providing you have those operating systems to install (you need the install CD it doesnt come with the software) you can install them into a "virtual machine" and then you simply work with them like you wouldyour own pc..but their in a window. Works very well too.
