I have a Bosch too, only the basic classix model but have had well over a year and no complaints or problems yet, came with 2 year warranty if you registered online after buying.

We bought a Bosh Classix two weeks ago to replace a dying Whirplool. So far it's been excellent (and came with a 2 year guarantee). The cheapest supplier we could find was the Co-Op online, whose service was first class.

See if there are any offers around for a Miele one. When I got ours it wasn't much dearer than a Bosch.

...3 years back when our previous unit died. We had a simple criteria, cheap, class A energy rating, free delivery, quidco cashback and removal of the old machine.

We looked into a repair - it just wasn't worth it, the old one was bought 7 years before. The Candy cost £180, delivered in a 2 hr window by Currys who removed the old machine (our nearest skip/tip is 15 miles away so can be a pain for large white goods). We go £15 cashback from Quidco.

So at this moment in time, the Candy has cost us about a £1 per week if it dies today. We run it virtually every day (overnight actually on a time switch, de-conflicted with the washing machine as they share the waste pipe). Cannot fault this machine for value for money - Oh! it does a good job on the washing/wiping up too!....

Does anyone bother to get these machines repaired these days?
