What is a career portfolio

Has anybody heard of the term a 'career portfolio'? If so, can someone give me a good explanation of what is means?
Personally, I think it means having several part time jobs to cover the standard working hours of a week i.e. 9 to 5.
Also, is this a popular career chioice these days or is it very rare?

I think what you are describing is more a portfolio career rather than a career portfolio.
The portfolio can be made up of different skills and the jobs can be sequential rather than concurrent.0
