Repair of credit rating after DMP

in Debt-free wannabe
I'm debt-free in September, and am looking into how to repair my credit rating. I've read the MSE guide on (very) high interest rate credit cards, if you use (and repay) these regularly does it actually improve your rating??

Interested in any knowledge/experience you have folks!

    500 Posts
    yes paying bills on time then after a while get a catalouge buy a few small items pay on time wait a month or two then get something else pay on time and slowly you are building a good credit history

    Thanks. So where does the 6 years due to defaulting come into play??

    thanks again- is it possible that future creditors in this 6 year period will also see the new 'good' repayments after september and think I might be ok to lend to?
