Warning about visa pre paid cards xx

Hi guys just a quick warning, I received my pre paid visa card yesterday and it turns out that it has already been used !!! I found out when i registered online with it. Needless to say iam not best chuffed and it looks like i won't get it back. i hope i was just unlucky and hope no one else has the same problem xoxo

It might be worth contacting Visa as they may have overlooked topping that card up, they will be able to see on their records whether it's been topped up or used etc. Hope it's just an error.

hi savvybunny, i rang the number given on the back of the card and they basically said fill out all these forms but your not likely to get it back as i can't be proven either way. Thy are really odd transactions too lol. xoxo

Did they send the card out recorded or special delivery, surely you can make a claim if they can see you had only just received the card? It truly is awful but if there are odd transactions ie £1.00 then £10.00 then a larger amount and especially not local to you then they can see that's typically what fraudsters do.

I really hope you can get it sorted, it's really awful

omg how nasty someone will do that i would definetly ask them to look further into it.. they can find out who used a stolen a card so should be the same shouldnt it ie check dates times shops cameras... just the same as they woul fraud..
my prepaid cards just came in the post no need to sign for them the pin number came a day later so i personnaly would be thinking your postman would be the next one to look at how else would they get the card and the pin then are able to redeliver.. both

It just came in the normal post so o idea how anyone got hold of it. Maybe they did 2 cards with the same details? i can't get hold of the forms any more as they are online and my account with it has been suspended. oohh its annoying. i will try phoning again to see if maybe a diff person has a dif idea of what to do. There is abit o a language barrier going on too as i have a strong burnley accent and the visa place isnt in england ! thanks for the advice you 2 i will deff look into it thanks xxxxxx

arrf sorry to hear this is happening to you, talk about panic when I read this but all my cards are ok

what about phoning the people that ran the comp, every time I have spoken to them they have been really helpful - Tel 0845 4379907 they might be able to sort it all out for you, worth a shot maybe ... Good luck!
