When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :T

Well I've been up an hour since DD decided to phone DM on my mobile and have a "chat"...Never mind, we've got a busy day today, it's more of a to-do list today rather than a DFW list, but it keeps me from going out and spending money!

-
[STRIKE]Do small amount of washing up/clean kitchen surfaces[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Hang out HC on line[/STRIKE] - one down, two down
-
[STRIKE]Another HC load on - another in, and another, last one in machine now[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Shower not bath[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Hot water OFF most of the day[/STRIKE]
- DD in pants, not nappies (although creating more washing...)
-
[STRIKE]Clean bathroom[/STRIKE]
- Dig out lots of stuff to ebay
-
[STRIKE]Hetty down stairs[/STRIKE]
- Dust upstairs
-
[STRIKE]Tidy all bedrooms and make beds[/STRIKE]
- Hoof out and Hetty car
-
[STRIKE]Hetty bedrooms[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Lunch from stores[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]NSD, not going out anywhere [/STRIKE]- not any more, my pegs are moudly so DM getting me some, bought sun lotion and ice pops
-
[STRIKE]Batch cook Millies and Twinks[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Write meal plan/shopping list - didn't acheive this yesterday[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]DM coming over later[/STRIKE]
- DONT sit on here all day!

That is plenty, I feel a busy day coming on!
Jx

    Good luck with the revision Triangle! I'm glad those days are over for me!

    Today I am suffering with the pollen - woke myself up sneezing a few times in the night and am streaming this morning - oh well, every year I con myself into thinking I won't have hayfever but as I've had it since I was 9 and am now 38 I think I should probably accept that its here forever!

    Today's little list...
    • Walk dog before it gets too hot (done)
    • One wash in - thick dressing gowns that will hopefully dry today
    • Do another 1 wash and dry later
    • Go shopping with a list - need absolutely everything, have really run the stocks down so will blow the GC budget
    • Do at least one lesson ready for interview
    • Have emailed a new job today for the application form - only 2 miles from home, would be a good one!
    • Checked banks
    • Checked ebay
    • Find camera and charge the battery
    • Maybe go with OH to register for his race tomorrow and take the dog to the park its at for a run around - will see how hot it is though, don't want an overheated pooch
    • Clean bathrooms
    • Do nails this evening
    • Stay in and watch a movie that my sister lent me (in preparation for the "race " tomorrow), apparently tea tonight has to be "carb-loaded" - you'd swear he was in the olympics!
    Have a good day in the sun

    rachel my friend "used" to suffer from hayfever but found a way to stop it completely (she never has any symptoms now!). I'll tell you but its fairly millitant so not sure if you'll take it up BUT if you did it DOES work...

    Ok what she does is from now she cuts out all wheat products for the hayfever season. Not sure why it works but it does, she used to suffer severe symptoms and now you'd never know. She does use the "free from" bread and pasta etc

    also local honey, a spoonful a day, helps

    * check bank for mysteriously absent Amazon payment
    * write to Kim
    * post council tax letter (hopefully will bet £900 refund so very important!)
    * plant tomatoes
    * plant out (small yellow flowers whose name I can't remember)
    * run (free exercise)
    * wash sheets and hang outside
    * water courgettes
    * plant up new pot (more courgettes?)
    * finish knitting friend's (very late) birthday present
    * decide what to make for sister's wedding anniversary
    * write something cheery on blog
    * transcribe interview and send

    Morning everyone

    So gorgeous this morning :D. Looks like there's lots of things planned for the sunshine. Don't think I'll be heading out today, so will probably have a bit of time in the garden.

    I've neglected the house this week though, so will have to do some tidying first or it won't get done at all :).

    Here's the beginnings of a list, but I think there'll be more later:
    • Chech bank / update spreadsheet
    • Surveys…haven’t done any this week :o it's takes so long to get to payout
    • HC and line dry in the lovely sunshine
    • Start packing for next weekend :D:D
    • Chase up ebay non-payer, want to get this posted before going away
    • Lots of Flylady
    Have a lovely day all.
